Corners of my home – Deepa

Oh world wide web, why do you tempt us so!

We do not know whether we are doing a good thing or a bad thing by sharing what we are sharing today guys! If we had kept the following pictures away from you, we might have saved you from feeling jealous of Deepa from DEcorama for her ability to create such beautiful vignettes. Not sharing would amount to selfishness on our part to keep such prettiness to ourselves! So forgive us fellow Housedelics, we do not know what we do! Lets harden our hearts and dive straight into it.

Hello Housedelics! I am sharing some corners of my home ready for the festival of lights. I like bringing in the festive spirit by decorating every room in bright festive jewel tones and mixing and matching heirloom decor pieces with some more contemporary elements.

I make a point to wait for handicraft exhibitions and handloom bazars to buy my diyas, rangoli, torans for the festivals. In Bangalore, Safina plaza is great place all year round where you can lend your support to housewives, small entrepreneurs and upcoming artists creating fabulous decor items.

The traditional brass lamps all lit up look lovely and recreates the Deepavali of my childhood. I give it a more modern twist by combining unpolished wooden T light holders as an array of lights.
